South of Roosevelt, or "SoRo" as sometimes tagged, is held down by 3 individuals brought closer through the trials and tribulations of life. While working out of their studio in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, they have been busy, and up late, churning out new beats at a steady pace.
Their debut release, the Thank You EP (Home Schooled Music), landed in the Top 100 at Stompy.com and received support from some of the most well respected House DJs out there today. With a release schedule that has continued to grow, South of Roosevelt will remain, at most times, locked up in the studio while maintaining DJ residencies around Chicago.

LOFTY
Lofty has been DJ’ing for since 2001, starting off in Southampton UK and then playing out at all the major venues in London in the last few years. He was a resident for Sundazed in Clapham, London for 3 years and with them he played numerous clubs in London including, Egg, The Cross, Hidden and Pacha, as well as a week long tour in Ibiza in 2005. He is also part of the DJ collective Illicit Audio where they had a successful residency for 3 years in Southampton.
Lofty’s musical style is all about music that gets people on the floor dancing, he can read the crowd and combine tunes he knows and loves to great effect.
Currently he is a resident for the London based Get Diverted night where he has played at Ministry at the tale end of last year plus regular apperances at Dex in Brixton, UK.
